ST ANDREWS
More leisurely, wives love the Kingsbrae Garden and dinner at Rossmount Inn (506-529-3351). Rossmount was recently voted the best restaurant in Atlantic Provinces. Stay at Rossmount or the Fairmount Algonquin (866-540-4403). There’s also Treadway B&B. The Algonquin has a very good golf course. Atlantic Salmon Federation headquarters and interpretive center are about 3 miles from town.
MISC
BOYCE FARMER'S MARKET – In Fredericton on Brunswick Street between Regent and St. John Streets – this is a classic resource offering fine cheeses, processed meats, fresh vegetables etc. While Black Brook is a fully stocked camp with excellent food, many of us like to augment the standard offerings, particularly for cocktail hours, from this market. Also a fine breakfast offering is available.
BEAVERBROOK MUSEUM OF ART 703 Queen Street in Fredericton. Enjoyable little museum. Currently major controversy between Beaverbrook heirs and museum about ownership of part of the collection.
LIQUOR
DUTY FREE stores are situated just before Customs at Vanceboro and Houlton are open until 9:00 p.m. where one 40 oz. Bottle per person may be purchased at somewhat less than the New Brunswick price, but more than in New Hampshire. There is less of a price difference in wines between Canada and the USA. Largest Alcohol NB store in Fredericton is at 1150 Prospect Street (major road at top of hill),
